The rider’s card (= transponder) can be stuck under one of the three competition numbers.
Your competition number with rider’s card must without fail be fixed on the front.
technical inspection:
the technical inspection is next to the race office from 8.00 am until 8.15 pm on Thursday.
ATTENTION! Please stuck your start number on your bike, before you come to the technical inspection.
RETURN OF DEPOSITS:
Starters who have NOT specified ANY RED BULL HARE SCRAMBLE may bring their rider’s card back to the race office in the operations building on Saturday before the close of racing once they have finished their 2nd prolog heat.
Repayment of the EUR 5 deposit for riders’ cards will also take place on Sunday from 07.00 am to 10.00 am and from 03.00 pm to 05.00 pm. It is not compulsory to bring the rider’s card back!

INSURANCE INFORMATION
Rescue helicopter and rescue cost insurance
Riders who need air ambulance services after an accident will have to cover all the costs themselves.
In addition a personal recovery costs insurance policy can be taken out by every starter (voluntary). Booking and payment at the race office at the registration!

You must arrive at the pre-start (follow signposts) ready to start 20 minutes before your starting time with motorbike and safety equipment (helmet - straps fastened firmly).
The start of the first participant takes place at 8 am (Single-start with running engine).
Starting lights! On green riders have a maximum of 5 seconds to start.
The route is conducted across a 13km long track of broken rock without obstacles to the finish at the summit, which is situated 700m higher than the start (also manageable with short spring travels and road tyres).
Safety rules:
„Riding according to sight“ in terms of road traffic regulations (StVO) is imperative.
Yellow flag means: Danger on track ? Specific caution!
Red flag means: Race abandoned ? Stop at the roadside immediately and wait for instructions from the staff at the track!
Dropped-out participants must stay at the roadside and leave areas of possible danger!
Never stop on the track (especially in case of heavy line-of-sight obstruction, e.g. by dust or fog), but leave the track on the shortest way, take care of the subsequent riders, and then stop.
Stay in the Finish area until a guide (signal jacket) leads you together with a group of riders back to the rider paddock.
Attention: Leaving the Finish area autonomously is prohibited.
The ranking is calculated by timing. Each participant does one run per day (on Friday and Saturday) the better result will be taken for the qualification for the RED BULL HARE SCRAMBLE
Final results are hung up at the race office by 10.00 pm.
The award ceremony takes place at the party tent at 09.00 pm.

Your starting place is due to your result in the Erzbergrodeo Iron Road Prolog (Result lists are hung up in front of the race office and the party tent entrance.)
WHO QUALIFIES ?
The best 500 riders who are registered for Sunday are qualified automatically.
If you do not qualify for the Red Bull Hare Scramble, we will refund the remaining amount of the entry fee (40,- Euro) at the race office from 07.00 am to 10.00am and from 03.00 pm to 04.00 pm on Sunday. The money will also not be transfered!

Competition numbers will be issued between 07.00 am and 9.30 am for everyone who has qualified for the Red Bull Hare Scramble.

The start (mass start with running engine) takes place one starting line after the other at intervals of about 2 minutes.
The start of the 1st starting line takes place at 12.00 am sharp.
You must stop at every checkpoint. The transponder/rider’s card will be scanned and then you can ride off again. This procedure will last approximately 1-2 seconds.
Approaching the checkpoints from any other driving direction than the marked will result in disqualification.
The route must be driven in marked driving direction (directional arrows, barrier tapes, banner, fences).
You must reach the checkpoints in the correct order.
We point out that leaving the race track at any time is dangerous as pedestrians and other vehicles, e.g. ambulance cars, which assume that the tracks are free, are en route!

The new route is about 25 km long and conducted through areas of different level of difficulty (2009 winner’s average speed: about 19km/h).
The route goes via summit back to the finish at the rider paddock.
The route must be driven in marked driving direction (directional arrows, barrier tapes, banner, fences).
The ranking is determined by the order of arrival at the finish line and the number of checkpoints which have been reached in steady order in driving direction, respectively.
The award ceremony takes place in the party tent at 04.00 pm.
